Recently in Dallas, Texas, a mother momentarily left her baby in her car with the keys in the ignition. A thief jumped inside and sped off.

The distressed mother called the police, who immediately responded. Unknown to the thief, a covert GPS tracking unit had been installed in the vehicle. The police were able to quickly locate the car using a Web based tracking service, found it abandoned, and fortunately, the baby was unharmed, still strapped to the baby seat.
